Inspired by Jordan's cat-like reflexes, Tinker Hatfield designed the Air Jordan 13 with features of a Black Panther in mind. The outsole was designed to mimic the massive paws of the Panther, while the iconic hologram on the upper is a direct callout to the eerie green eyes of the Panther. Originally released in 1997 Jordan continued his reign of terror over the NBA earning another All-Star bid, an All-Pro nod and another NBA Championship in the feline-like model.
