The Girls’ Grade School Air Jordan Retro 12 is the girls’ sizing of the classic model for the young lady Air Jordan aficionados. Originally released in 1997, Michael Jordan’s twelfth signature shoe is one of the most beloved models in the entire line. Created by legendary designer Tinker Hatfield, the design was inspired by the Japanese “rising sun” motif, which is loosely interpreted across the shoe with distinct colorblocking. The large toe panel creates the sun, while the stitched lines across the rest of the upper represent the sun’s rays emanating outward. Other signature details of the AJ 12 are the pebbled basketball texture on the toe panels, two metal lace eyelets at the top of the shoe, and a heel tab with the statement: “Quality Inspired By The Greatest Player Ever.” Just like the adult version, this kick features the same iconic design with sizing and colorways exclusive to the young Air Jordan fanatics.
