Moncler’s padded down jacket was born at the same time the French House was founded in 1952. Named after a French mountain village, Monestier-de-Clermont, the brand originally pioneered its jackets to keep workers warm in the coldest climates, and in 1954 successfully outfitted an Italian expedition to K2. As a consequence of its functional prowess, from the Winter Olympics and beyond, Moncler soon became synonymous with luxury fashion to achieve the sought-after alpine style – which can now be sampled in the iconic Badyf for girls.
