La Capella is the flagship wine from Juvé & Camps, and it’s one for the pleasure seekers. Crafted from pure Xarel·lo grapes grown on old bush vines in the organic Capella vineyard, it was aged on the lees (the spent yeast that gives quality sparkling wine its nutty, yeasty and bready flavours) for nine years, which is surpassing Dom Pérignon and heading towards Krug Vintage territory. Only 4,000 bottles were made and managed to get our hands on just four of those. So, we’ll be limiting this spectacular wine to one per customer while stocks last. Treat La Capella with the same reverence that you would Krug. This age-worthy wine is hauntingly beautiful with complex and elegant notes of buttered sourdough toast, lightly roasted almonds, Tarte Tatin, floral honey, brioche, smoke, dried fruit, honeysuckle and a pleasing touch of fennel bitterness.
