The Patagonia Men's Down Shirt is a minimalist jacket for lightweight warmth on the trails of the backcountry. The Down Shirt is insulated with 600 fill power goose down, protected by a 100% recycled polyester shell. The durable shell is windproof for battling blustery winds upon the switchbacks and coated with a durable water repellent finish to brush off the occasional light rain or snow. Built for layering, you can wear over your base layer and under a hardshell easily with the regular fit and hip length. The jacket saves on weight by only using one zipper, the front main zip. The hand pockets are drop-in, which also creates two drop-in pockets on the inside of the jacket to hang onto the wool beanie you're saving for when the temp drops further. When the sun finally reaches its peak come midday, the jacket packs into either hand pocket so you can tuck it into your backpack until the temp drops again in the evening.
