The Patagonia Men's Super Alpine Jacket is a waterproof jacket in a lightweight package for taking on the mountains via ski mountaineering or alpine climbing. The Super Alpine has been built with two different GORE-TEX® fabrics for 100% waterproof/breathable protection. The main shell is a 3-layer, 40D, 100% nylon GORE-TEX® Pro fabric, while the reinforcements are 3-layer, 40D, 100% nylon ripstop GORE-TEX® Pro fabric. The whole jacket features a durable water repellent finish to repel water from soaking into the fabric surface. The lightweight jacket comes in at 15.2 ounces with a regular fit that has a trimmer torso and longer length that still allows for layers underneath without impeding movement. The attached Optimal Visibility Hood™ has been re-engineered for even better coverage and visibility, and still remains helmet-compatible. All exterior zippers are trim and watertight, which helps drop weight as well as helps keep things from getting soaked. The pit-zips open for quick venting when your body heat rises fast. Even your wrists and arms keep warm and dry with re-designed Pleated Gasket Dry Cuffs, which help keep a low-profile to keep fabric out of the way of your ice tools. Finished off with two high pockets, that won't get in the way of your pack or harness, you're ready to take on the challenges of mountain weather.
