The 3-layer GORE-TEX® fabric combined with Gore® C-Knit™ backer gives you a water and windproof jacket that is not only lightweight, but stretchy. Movement is important when you're moving hard and fast up or down the mountain, and the fabric used at the upper back, shoulders, and backs of the arms helps facilitate this. Get your blood pumping and as your heat increases, open the pit-zips to release the excess. Pockets are littered inside and out, most feature a zipper for security while the interior mesh is wide open for quickly stashing goggles, skins, even a hat! Attach the jacket directly to your Patagonia snow pants (or some alpine pants) to prevent snow up the back, then pull up the hood to deter the oncoming flakes of snow.
