Pick up gauze dressing by one end and dip it into the cleansing solution recommended by your medical professional.
Clean wound by stroking gently in a circular motion. Do not scrub back and forth, especially across incision line.
Repeat process using clean gauze dressing until entire wound is cleaned.
Pat dry using clean gauze dressing.
Use clean gauze dressing to apply medications as directed by your medical professional.
Secure the dressing in place with first aid tape to hold the pad in place.
Change dressing daily or as instructed by your medical professional.
